He smiled to her, but it faded as he spoke calmly, "Your thanks is appreciated. And had that creature not given me these irrational thoughts you call 'emotions' then you would hate me just as the world does."

He looked aside, "Strange. I've only attempted to be helpful to this planet and I've yet to meet a being who accepts me... I suppose there's a reason the humans call me 'alien'." He bit his lip as his eyes watered, quickly moving to the door and walking out.
